Men’s Spring Fashion Trends
Belisi Look of the Week
That 70s Guy
While leisure suits are thankfully still only appropriate for 70s theme parties and Halloween, suits and fashions are decidedly more 70s inspired for Spring ‘08, especially for younger suit wearers. One notable difference is that you won’t see bell bottoms with these slimming suits. For an urban, edgy look that says you’re hip and fashionable, try these styles on for size:
Martini Blazer & Straight-Leg Jeans - $1,120
This slimming D&G dark suit is stylish without making you look like you’re trying too hard.
The Fitted Blazer
JOHAN by J. Lindeberg Blazer - $455
From J. Lindeberg’s slightly younger and more edgy than his main collection comes this 70s inspired fitted blazer. Wear it with trousers or skinny jeans (or straight leg jeans if you’re not a fan of the skinny jean look).
Shades of Greige vest - $63
This new line—launched only in Feb. ’07 by 26-year-old designer Micah Cohen and industry veteran Jeff Port—catepaults men’s fashion forward with affordable designs like this uber cool vest.
In addition to your work-a-day wear, you need a defined Personal Casual Look. If you’re partial to the 70s-inpsired men’s style, here are some designer looks for a laid-back, yet updated style.
McQ Alexander McQueen V-Neck Sweater - $157 (regularly over $300)
So 70s, so cool.
Salvatore Ferragamo Riace Boot - $660
Finish your easygoing look with this polished boot. Features Tmoro (dark brown) leather with tonal topstitching.
